Southwood provides Boarding services for a range of clientele including cats, dogs, reptiles and small and large animals. With a newly renovated wing of Suites, Southwood has expanded their boarding facilities in order to better accommodate clientele*.

Pick up times & Drop off
MONDAY – FRIDAY 8:30 am-12:00pm & 1:00pm-4:30 pm
1st & 3rd SATURDAY OF EACH MONTH 8:30 am - 11:30 am
*We are closed for business on Sundays, but rest assured we do have our Kennel Technicians in to care for our guests.
What your pet needs
#1 Owners are encouraged to bring a pet’s diet from home and an item or two the pet is particularly attached to so your pet experiences less anxiety while you are away.
#2 If your animal has special needs, please bring you pet’s medications and supplements so you can feel confident they receive these important items in your absence.

"The staff at Southwood went out of their way to take care of my dogs. When I had an emergency come up that required me to leave town I would just call the Clinic and Kim or the other staff member that answered the phone told me to bring them right up. They took care of them until I returned home sometimes it was an extended period. At the times all my animals got sick and I had to put them down all the staff were very compassionate toward my dogs and also to me. I can't say enough about how appreciated that. Appointments and Availability
Routine surgeries are performed Monday – Friday mornings. Appointments are required, but most appointments can be scheduled within 24-48 hours. Southwood provides general anesthesia monitored by licensed veterinary technicians, and offers pre-anesthetic blood chemistries for every pet*. As your pet’s comfort and safety are our first concern, pain medications are always offered and are your choice. Many post-operative patients can go home the same day, but some procedures do require an overnight stay in order to ensure your pet’s best possible recovery.
*Preference for scheduling is given to current Southwood clients. If spaces are available, outside clients can be contacted when a name and contact number is left with the Front Desk. Contact us anytime if you have any questions!
